Government Authority located in Blythewood, South Carolina; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for COBOL programming services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide COBOL programming services that will support development of new COBOL business functions and troubleshooting, modification, and enhancement of existing COBOL functions in this environment within the existing agency application framework to the government authority located in Blythewood, SC.
- This solicitation is for Project Lead level programming in microfocus net express COBOL and Microfocus visual COBOL within a Windows 2008/2012/2016 server environment utilizing CICS TX series for windows and Microsoft internet information systems infrastructures.
- The individual will also be involved with agency financial processing functions and with aspects of vehicle registration and titling areas. This individual will work closely and will be involved with both the UI tiers which are MS .NET applications (VB.NET, C#.NET) and the Oracle database tier.
- Production trouble shooting support will be expected so production support experience is required. This individual will work with minimal supervision, be in direct contact with business area specialists, develop technical approaches and designs, code, test, and support these functions.
- Analyze agency’s Phoenix II, web service, and batch business applications
- Lead In analysing and troubleshooting assigned system problems, new requirements, and regulations
- Propose solutions and develop technical specifications in response to business requirements
- Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solutions meet requirements
- Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than August 28, 2019.
(3) Contract term will be one year.
